A street-sweeping person might use a broom, or water
hoses, or both, to clean off litter and filth that
accumulates on streets. A mechanical street-sweeper
converts the broom to several rotating disks or
drums covered in bristles, with which it sweeps
away dirt after spraying the street with water.
The bristles from these rotating disks frequently
fall off and are left in the street. They are commonly
